Thanksgiving is a great time of year for a number of reasons. I love the food, family time and of course football. One of the greatest things about Thanksgiving is it causes you to pause and reflect on the blessings in your life. It is a day each year where we intentionally consider the things we are grateful for.
Take time today to think about the stuff you are grateful for, but more importantly consider the people you are thankful for. There are so many good things happening in my life that are only possible because of the people around me.
So today I am inviting you to pause and take part in the 360° Gratitude Challenge.
The 360° Gratitude Challenge – take a few minutes today to send a brief note of gratitude to 3 people in your life:
- Someone who leads you – a parent, a boss, a mentor or leader
- A Peer – a sibling, a co-worker, a friend or a teammate
- Someone you lead – a child, a friend, an employee or team member
Now the note doesn’t have to be long. It could be a text message. It could be an email or Facebook message. Or if you have time and desire you could pick up the phone and give them a call.
The point is this – take a little time today to express gratitude to those who are helping to make your life a good one.
If you enjoy the challenge, consider getting online and challenging some family and friends to participate as well. This Thanksgiving be a source of encouragement to those around you.
